All Emitex data cables are manufactured to the highest quality and only incorporate solid copper conductors.

 

This is very important to meet with the ANSI EIA/TIA and the ISO 11801 cabling standards especially if a contractor is offering a warranty on the installation, which conforms to ‘the final draft international standard’ IEC 61156-1 Ed.3.0, stating the conductor shall consist of annealed copper, uniform in quality and free from defects. The properties of the copper shall be in accordance with IEC 60028 and the conductor may be either solid or stranded.

 

The solid conductor shall be circular in section and may be plain or metal-coated, it shall also be drawn in one piece.

Joints in the solid conductor are permitted, providing that the breaking strength of a joint is not less than 85 % of the unjointed solid conductor.

 

Emitex offer a wide range of Cat 5E compliant cables PVC various coloured sheaths, LSZH also in various coloured sheaths, FTP, and External Grade cable.

 

The Cat 6 range of data cables are 250mhz and Cat 6 compliant are available in PVC, LSZH and FTP LSZH sheaths.

All cables are meter marked backwards from 305 to zero so the electrical contractor will always know how much cable there is in a box, to help reduce wastage.
